Hey, I’m Steve. I wear a lot of hats.. Sometimes literally, always figuratively. I work with computers, game casually, collect old-school trading cards, and fix things around the house just because I can. My interests bounce between tech, creativity, nostalgia, and whatever random rabbit hole I fall into that week.
My biggest passion is staying curious. I love digging into how things are done and keeping up with what’s happening in the world. From tech trends and politics to economics, cybersecurity, education, and even pop culture. This site is where I share bits and pieces of those interests, projects, thoughts, and whatever else I feel like throwing into the mix.
Thanks for dropping by. Have a look around, you might find something cool (or at least mildly interesting).
If you’re around my age and had a childhood filled with endless time to sit down and play video games, you may remember a popular game from the mid-2000s: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I had played Grand Theft Auto before that, but I was too young to truly understand how to play it.
By the time San Andreas came out, my best friend and I would spend nearly all night doing absolutely zero missions or anything to advance the game’s progression. Instead, we would just goof around for hours on end. Getting as high of a wanted level as we could, stealing vehicles to blow them up, and engaging in the usual wannabe virtual criminal behavior.
Obligatory “Back in my day.” The computers we had were not very mobile. Handheld phones or tablets did not exist yet. And it was not common for the average household to even have one set up. One thing that made this game special to me was the ten-page list of cheat codes you would print out from a website. These cheat codes could be used to alter the gameplay in any way you needed. Everything from weapons and equipment, health and money, to my absolute favorite: Flying Cars.
This memory will forever be a pointer to a time when life seemed much more simple. A time when we did not have endless information at our fingertips. When you really had to dig deep to find the information so you could share and enjoy it with your friends. When life felt much more tangible.
So in honor of that incredible memory, I have added a “cheat code” to one of my pages that leads to a secret section of the site. The only hints I will give you are these. The cheat code uses only the arrow keys to activate. The sequence is copied from one of the many cheats available in GTA: San Andreas.
